North Carolina Legal Services is a non-profit law firm that offers legal services with income-based fees to assist individuals and families that earn too much to qualify for free legal assistance, but who cannot afford the high cost of traditional law firms.

Rich Gittings
Founder / Executive Director
Rich grew up in Mesa, Arizona and moved to North Carolina to attend law school at the University of North Carolina and to earn a Masters of Public Policy Degree at Duke University. Rich is passionate about fighting poverty and serving underserved communities. He founded North Carolina Legal Services to address systemic inequality in the Justice System. He currently is serving as its Executive Director and as a member of the Board.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit law firm, we provide affordable legal services, family law assistance, employment law consultation, tenant rights advocacy, and probate services to working families and small businesses across North Carolina.
